
cross-sectional time serious survey conducted in 1993, 1996, 1999, 2002 and 2005. First rounds of this survey were financed from CESSI sources, following rounds – with financial support of National Science Foundation of Finland, National Council of Eurasian and Eastern European research NCEEER (the project “Intolerance among Orthodox Christians and Muslims in Russia: How strong is it and why?”). The project was designed by international scientific team included prof. Kimmo Kaariainen, Dr. V.G. Andreenkov, Dr. A.V. Andreenkova, prof. V. Karpov, Dr. E. Lisovskaya. Each round of the survey was conducted by face-to-face interviews in respondents’ homes among population of Russia age 18 years old and over on probability random sample of general population and boost sample in several Muslim regions (Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria). Part of questions included in the survey are comparable with European value survey (EVS) and World Value survey (EVS), some questions about religious aspects of life were specially designed for this survey.
