CONTENT OF THE SURVEY
In recent years the issues of active ageing, improving the quality of life for people in older ages, more effective inclusion of people in pension age in social life gain the priority in academic studies and also in policies agenda (state “Strategy of actions in the interests of citizens of older generation in Russian federation till 2025”, the Plan to actions for 2016-2020 on relation of the first stage of the Strategy, the Federal project “Older generation” within the National project “Demography”). Rosstat increased the number of statistical indicators related to the people of older ages, their socio-economic situation, different types of activities, and penetration of social support. However, this information is not enough to monitor the implementation of the government Strategy plan and the evaluation of the potential of active ageing. The information about the health of older generation, their lifestyle, physical activity and also values, attitudes and subjective preferences and evaluations of different life domains is not available in sufficient range. NSE helps to widen the scientific information base and adopt effective government social policies.
